Marble Runs are great fun to play with – and educational too. By making yours together, you’ll be encouraging your child to use their 3D design skills. It’ll teach them about the effects of gravity – and, for any budding Einsteins out there, it makes a good introduction to the basic laws of physics too.

The first thing you need to do is save up a good stash of empty kitchen rolls (or purchase some cardboard tubes), and then get hold of a few marbles – or any other spheroid objects you can find.

Then, simply enlist the technical skills of your very own little technical supervisor and you’re ready to roll!
